Co-Founder & CEO
Kristen Peterson entered the clinical research field as a Clinical Research Coordinator and has spent more than 25 years building a career dedicated to advancing clinical trials, developing research programs, and improving access to investigational treatments. Today, she serves as Chief Executive Officer and cofounder of Red River Research Partners.
She believes that every participant deserves to be informed, supported, and valued throughout their research journey, and she remains passionate about expanding access to clinical research opportunities in communities across the country.
Outside of work, Kristen enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, and searching for unique rocks to add to her collection. Known for her outgoing personality and genuine enthusiasm for helping others, she brings energy, optimism, and a patient-first mindset to everything she does.
Co-Founder & CBO
Dinkar brings over 25 years of pharmaceutical and clinical research leadership experience to Red River Research Partners. He holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta.
As Co-Founder and CBO of 3RP, he directs commercial strategy, financial management, business systems, corporate infrastructure, and operational expansion across the network's clinical trial sites.
Prior to 3RP, Dinkar served as CEO of Axis Clinicals, where he spent 12 years building and scaling its U.S. clinical research operations. This drew on an extensive earlier career across both pharmaceutical companies and clinical research organizations.
Driven by continuous learning and strategic problem-solving, Dinkar enjoys translating complex trial protocols into scalable operational systems. Outside of work, he is an avid reader of ancient history, comparative philosophy, and economics.
Medical Director
Dr. Michael Blankinship earned his medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School and has practiced dermatology for more than 20 years. He serves as Medical Director and Principal Investigator for Red River Research Partners.
Throughout his career, Dr. Blankinship has published numerous research papers and developed extensive experience treating psoriasis and a wide range of dermatologic conditions. His clinical expertise and research leadership help advance investigational treatments for patients participating in clinical trials.
Outside of work, Dr. Blankinship enjoys traveling with his wife and children, spending time at the family's lake cabin, hunting, and fishing. Originally from Michigan's Upper Peninsula, he was the 1999 Big Ten Bass Fishing Champion.
Director of Clinical Operations
Tim Dahl earned his Master of Arts in Exercise Physiology at The College of St. Scholastica. A Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC), Tim has dedicated more than 20 years to clinical research and now serves as Director of Clinical Operations for Red River Research Partners.
In his leadership role, Tim oversees clinical operations across the Red River Research Partners network, helping ensure studies are conducted with the highest standards of quality, compliance, and patient care. He plays an integral role in training and mentoring new Clinical Research Coordinators and is known throughout the organization for his expert attention to detail when reviewing study protocols. His extensive experience across a wide range of therapeutic areas and leadership positions has made him a trusted resource for both research staff and study sponsors.
Outside of work, Tim enjoys spending time with his family, doing home improvement projects, and cheering on his favorite sports teams.
Associate Director of Clinical Operations
John Zamudio earned his bachelor's degree in business with a minor in Science from the University of Texas at Arlington and has dedicated more than 15 years to ophthalmology and clinical research. A Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA), John has built an extensive career supporting both clinical practice and research operations and now serves as Associate Director of Clinical Operations for Red River Research Partners.
In his leadership role, John works closely with research teams across our network, helping train new Clinical Research Coordinators, support study operations, and ensure clinical trials are conducted with accuracy and attention to detail. His background in ophthalmology and experience coordinating studies across multiple therapeutic areas allow him to provide valuable guidance wherever support is needed. John finds the greatest fulfillment in seeing patients experience meaningful improvements through participation in clinical research.
Known for his kind and approachable personality, John enjoys mentoring new research staff and helping teams succeed. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family and exploring new places while supporting research sites across our 3RP network.
Regulatory and Quality Control
Dr. Lindsey Dickey earned her PhD in Zoology from North Dakota State University and brings more than 25 years of combined research experience spanning academic, preclinical, and clinical research.
For Lindsey, one of the most rewarding aspects of research is witnessing the journey from molecule to medicine—seeing years of scientific discovery ultimately improve patients' lives. Her background in research and quality systems helps ensure studies are conducted with accuracy, integrity, and regulatory compliance.
Outside of work, Lindsey enjoys reading, watching movies, traveling—especially to Las Vegas—trying new restaurants, and following sports. She also proudly competes in a fantasy football league and is a recent league champion.
Recruitment and Marketing Manager
Jaylee Knowles earned her master's degree in clinical mental health counseling and counselor education from Clemson University. While her educational background is not “traditional” in clinical research, it has shaped the patient-centered approach she brings to recruitment, patient education, and community outreach.
Jaylee began her career in research as a Clinical Research Coordinator with 3RP. Today, as Recruitment and Marketing Manager, she develops outreach initiatives, educates healthcare providers and communities about clinical research, and works to expand access to research opportunities across the United States. Growing up in a rural community meant a lot to Jaylee, and she is passionate about expanding health literacy and access to treatment opportunities for folks in these areas.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, playing basketball, cuddling with her two cats, and spending time in nature.

Principal Investigator
Board-certified dermatologist and Mohs surgeon, Dr. Murphy Mastin earned his medical degreefrom the University of Missouri–Columbia School of Medicine before completing his dermatologyresidency at Mayo Clinic. He has been practicing dermatology for more than seven years.
Before pursuing medicine, Dr. Mastin earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, inspired by hismother's nursing career and the compassion and dedication she demonstrated throughout herprofession. Today, he combines that patient-centered perspective with expertise in skin cancersurgery while remaining committed to expanding access to high-quality dermatologic care in rural communities.
When he's away from the clinic, Dr. Mastin enjoys spending time with his children, visitingMissouri's state parks with family, playing guitar, and cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs.
Principal Investigator
Dr. Steve Bagan received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine before completing his ophthalmology residency at Mayo Clinic. He has maintained an ophthalmic surgical practice in Fargo since 1980.
Over the course of his career, Dr. Bagan has performed more than 10,000 major eye surgeries and has dedicated time to serving as a volunteer surgeon and educator overseas. His decades of surgical experience and commitment to advancing patient care make him an integral member of the Red River Research Partners research team.
Outside of clinical practice and research, Dr. Bagan enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Principal Investigator
Dr. Anne Keating earned her medical degree from the University of Minnesota, completed her ophthalmology residency at the State University of New York in Buffalo, and went on to complete a fellowship in Cornea, External Disease, and Refractive Surgery at Harvard Medical School.
With more than 20 years of experience, Dr. Keating specializes in diagnosing and treating complex eye conditions. As a Principal Investigator with Red River Research Partners, she combines extensive clinical expertise with a commitment to advancing ophthalmic research and patient care.
Outside of work, Dr. Keating enjoys spending time with her family, attending her children's activities, running, and photography.
Principal Investigator
Dr. Zachary Nahmias earned his medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine and completed his dermatology residency at Washington University in St. Louis.
Dr. Nahmias specializes in dermatologic surgery, skin cancer treatment, and reconstructive procedures. He also has extensive experience treating inflammatory skin conditions including hidradenitis suppurativa, psoriasis, and atopic dermatitis. Through his work with Red River Research Partners, he helps evaluate new investigational therapies for patients with dermatologic conditions.
Outside of work, Dr. Nahmias enjoys family time, traveling, attending concerts, working out, and spending time with his pets.
Principal Investigator
Dr. Geeta Patel earned her medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and served as Chief Resident during her dermatology residency.
In addition to caring for patients in her successful Houston-area dermatology practice, Dr. Patel is an accomplished educator and published author who has presented nationally on the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of dermatologic conditions. As a Principal Investigator with Red River Research Partners, she brings both academic and clinical expertise to dermatology research.
Outside of caring for her patients, Dr. Patel enjoys spending time with her family, friend and traveling.
Investigator
Dr. Nicole Collins earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University and has been providing eye care in Fargo since 2012.
Her clinical interests include comprehensive optometry, advanced contact lens services—including scleral lenses—and ocular disease management. In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Collins has served as Principal Investigator on numerous ophthalmology clinical trials, helping evaluate investigational treatments for a variety of eye conditions.
A Fargo native, Dr. Collins lives in the community with her husband and two daughters. She enjoys gardening, running, and spending time with her family.
Investigator
Dr. Meredith Keeler earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Midwestern University Eye Institute in Glendale, Arizona, and has built her career providing comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages.
Her clinical interests include comprehensive optometry, contact lenses, ocular disease, and the role clinical research can play in expanding treatment options for patients. As an Investigator with Red River Research Partners, she helps bring new ophthalmic research opportunities to the community.
Outside of work, Dr. Keeler enjoys outdoor activities, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Investigator
Melissa Christensen earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana. She has spent 2 decades caring for patients with rheumatologic and autoimmune diseases.
Her clinical expertise includes the diagnosis and management of conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, psoriasis, and other autoimmune and inflammatory disorders. Melissa was recognized as a nominee for the Sanford Health Physician Assistant of the Year Award, reflecting her commitment to exceptional patient care. She serves as an Investigator with Red River Research Partners while continuing to care for patients in the Fargo community.
Outside of work, Melissa enjoys spending time with her husband as they cheer on their kids at different sporting events and musical performances. She is passionate about community gardening, completing DIY projects, and volunteering at her church.
Investigator
Andrew Berg earned his Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies through the University of Nebraska Interservice Physician Assistant Program after serving more than 20 years in the United States Army. A decorated Army veteran, Andrew began his healthcare career as a combat medic before transitioning into dermatology, where he has practiced as a Certified Physician Assistant for more than 28 years.
Throughout his career, Andrew has developed extensive expertise in medical and surgical dermatology while serving as a Principal and Sub-Investigator on numerous clinical trials. In addition to caring for patients, he has contributed to physician education through national speaking engagements, advisory boards, and precepting medical, physician assistant, and nursing students. His passion for research and education reflects his commitment to advancing dermatologic care for future patients.
Outside of work, Andrew enjoys spending time with his five sons, volunteering with veteran organizations, and teaching scuba diving as a Master Dive Instructor. He also enjoys traveling, outdoor adventures, and giving back to fellow veterans through recreational programs.
Investigator
Victoria Punton earned her Master of Medical Science degree from the Yale Physician Assistant Program Online in 2023 and has developed experience caring for patients in a variety of healthcare settings.
Throughout her career, Victoria has held leadership roles while building expertise in dermatology and patient education. She is known for helping patients better understand their skin conditions and treatment options and serves as an Investigator with Red River Research Partners.
Outside of the clinic, Victoria enjoys spending time with her husband and their cat, completing puzzles, embroidery projects, and making small home improvements.
CCRC
Amy Tuchscherer earned her bachelor's degree in Community Health from North Dakota State University and is a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator. She has more than 15 years of experience coordinating clinical research studies.
Amy believes every medical breakthrough begins with a dedicated team committed to asking thoughtful questions, paying close attention to detail, and never losing sight of the people behind the research. She enjoys the unique opportunity to combine science, organization, and patient care while helping move promising therapies from research into clinical practice.
Outside of work, Amy enjoys staying active, embracing new adventures, and believes that growth often begins just outside your comfort zone.
Finance Associate
Anjali earned her Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from the University of Delhi and has continued advancing her education by completing both the CA Foundation and CA Intermediate examinations. She is currently pursuing her CA Final while building her career in clinical research administration.
Before joining 3RP, Anjali gained experience in accounting, taxation, auditing, and financial reporting through roles with public accounting firms and private industry. Her background includes expertise in accounts receivable and payable, bookkeeping, regulatory compliance, and financial management using a variety of accounting platforms.
Outside of work, Anjali enjoys listening to music, exploring new places, watching movies, and continuously learning new skills. She is known for being a quick learner who enjoys new challenges and values teamwork, adaptability, and effective communication.
Recruitment & Marketing Associate
Alek Rottjakob earned his degree in Business Marketing and Management from Missouri State University. Alek has been dedicated to our recruitment efforts and enjoys getting to talk to potential volunteers about clinical research trials they might qualify for.
Living with Psoriasis since childhood has given Alek a unique perspective on the importance of clinical research. Having personally experienced a variety of treatments, he especially enjoys connecting with potential study participants who are navigating similar conditions and helping them learn about research opportunities.
Outside of work, Alek enjoys working out, watching movies, and spending time with family and friends at Lake of the Ozarks.
Finance Associate
Breanna earned her accounting degree from North Dakota State University. Before joining Red River Research Partners, she managed financial operations for a community organization overseeing the budget for a large homeless shelter project, building a strong foundation in accounting and financial management.
Breanna's connection to the field of clinical research began as a potential study participant before she joined the 3RP team. Today, she supports the organization's financial operations, helping ensure the resources behind every clinical trial are managed efficiently and accurately. She enjoys knowing that her work contributes to research that has the potential to improve the future of medicine—and she jokes that she finally understands what those medication commercials are talking about.
Outside of work, Breanna enjoys traveling, spending time at the lake, tackling puzzles and board games, and making memories with family and friends.
Regulatory and Quality Control
Cooper Nelson earned his associate degree in nursing from Rasmussen University in Fargo and became a Registered Nurse in 2022. His clinical research experience began in ophthalmology, where he worked as a Research Coordinator before going on to serve as a Senior Trial Master File Specialist.
Working behind the scenes, Cooper helps manage the essential regulatory documents required throughout the lifecycle of a clinical trial, helping research teams stay organized, and studies remain compliant. His nursing and coordinator experience also allows him to step into clinical operations when needed, including assisting with investigational medication dispensing. Cooper especially enjoys being part of research involving new medications and therapies that may provide additional treatment options for patients.
Outside of work, Cooper enjoys watching racing and cheering on the Minnesota Wild. He also spends much of his free time remodeling his house, taking on new projects whenever the weekends allow.

Colleen Miranowski earned her associate degree in Practical Nursing from the North Dakota State College of Science and has more than 12 years of experience in clinical research. Throughout her career, she has held a variety of roles in research, laboratory medicine, and nursing, giving her a well-rounded perspective on patient care and clinical trial operations.
As a Clinical Research Coordinator with 3RP, Colleen helps guide participants through every stage of the research process while ensuring studies are conducted with accuracy and compassion. She enjoys being part of research that expands treatment options and improves patients' lives.
Outside of work, Colleen enjoys baking, cooking, spending time at the lake, and making memories with her family, friends, and her dog.
Lab Technician
Elizabeth Ista graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead with her bachelor's in biology and is beginning her career in clinical research as a Laboratory Technician.
She enjoys being part of a team dedicated to advancing medical research while gaining hands-on experience in laboratory science. Elizabeth brings curiosity, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn into every aspect of her role.
Outside of work, Elizabeth enjoys reading and relaxing with her two cats, Jim and Russell. She jokes that her dad always said she would either become a trained fighter or cure cancer—and she's happy with the path she chose.

Edgar Gonzalez received his associate's degree in applied science from the College of DuPage. He joined Red River Research Partners after building a diverse healthcare career in ophthalmology, neurology, and specialty medicine. His background also includes experience as a medical assistant in both neurology and multi-specialty healthcare settings.
As a Clinical Research Coordinator, Edgar combines his leadership experience with a patient-centered approach to help guide participants through every stage of the research process. Fluent in both English and Spanish, he enjoys working closely with patients and research teams to create a positive clinical experience while supporting studies that advance future treatment options. His strengths in communication, organization, and mentorship make him a valuable member of the Red River Research Partners team.
Outside of work, Edgar enjoys fishing, camping, hiking, snowboarding, and many other outdoor activities.

Gunar Loftsgard earned his bachelor's degree in biology with an emphasis in Health and Medicine from Minnesota State University Moorhead. He is also a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant and has worked in eye care for more than ten years.
Although he has worked full-time in clinical research for the past year, Gunar has participated in research for several years through ophthalmology studies. He enjoys helping patients explore new treatment options when existing therapies may not be enough and is excited to continue expanding into dermatology research.
Outside of work, Gunar enjoys swimming, playing video games, and proudly shares that narwhals have always been his favorite animal.

James Hamilton earned his Bachelor of Science in Human Physiology from the University of Houston–Clear Lake and has worked in clinical research for more than four years. His research experience includes oncology and rare genetic disease studies.
Before beginning his research career, James served as a Fleet Marine Force Corpsman with the U.S. Marine Corps, deploying three times to Afghanistan in support of active combat operations. His military service helped develop his adaptability, teamwork, and attention to detail that continued to guide his work today.
Outside of work, James enjoys caring for his extensive plant collection, collecting CDs, vinyl records, and cassette tapes, and spending time with his four children, exploring whatever new interests and adventurescapture their curiosity.

Julio Sanchez has nearly ten years of experience supporting clinical research and pharmaceutical development across Phase I through Phase IV clinical trials. His background includes oncology, immunology, and dermatology studies, with a strong focus on patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
Known for his analytical approach and collaborative mindset, Julio is passionate about helping bring innovative therapies to patients through well-executed clinical research. He enjoys working on research teams to ensure studies are conducted with accuracy and excellence.
Outside of work, Julio enjoys spending time with his family, maintaining aquariums, following professional sports, and exploring homesteading practices.

Jazmine Kluth earned her nursing degree from Rasmussen College and spent six years working in pediatrics before transitioning to clinical research. Although she is new to the research field, she has quickly developed experience coordinating dermatology studies.
Jazmine enjoys the fast-paced and ever-evolving nature of clinical research, where every study presents an opportunity to learn something new while helping advance future treatment options. Her nursing background allows her to provide compassionate care while guiding participants through every step of the research process.
Outside of work, Jazmine enjoys training for half marathons, reading, cooking new recipes, and spending time with family and friends.
Operations Leader
Jasmyn Heinecke plays a central role in the day-to-day operations of 3RP, helping ensure that teams across the organization have the support they need to succeed. As Operations Leader, she works behind the scenes to coordinate administrative functions, support executive leadership, assist the recruitment team, and keep communication flowing across departments.
Whether she's coordinating office operations, managing administrative projects, or stepping in to support multiple departments, she approaches every task with efficiency, attention to detail, and a willingness to help wherever she's needed.
Outside of her responsibilities at work, Jasmyn enjoys spending time with family and friends, camping, horseback riding, lake days, playing softball and doing other various outdoor activities.

Madison Murray earned her master's degree in business and healthcare administration from Baker University in Overland Park, Kansas. After more than ten years working in hospital settings, she transitioned into clinical research, where she continues to expand her knowledge of the research process.
Her favorite part of working in research is building relationships with patients and their families while helping them navigate clinical trial participation. Madison enjoys combining her healthcare experience with opportunities to learn something new every day.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters and reading books.

Monica Young has been involved in clinical research since 2003, with experience in Phase I studies, healthy volunteer research, and cardiology medical device trials. She earned her Associate degree in Health Information Technology from Minnesota State Community and Technical College.
Creating meaningful connections with study participants is one of Monica's favorite parts of clinical research. After seeing firsthand how a clinical trial positively impacted a close family member, she became even more passionate about helping advance research that has the potential to improve—and even save—lives.
Outside of work, Monica enjoys training with her running group, cheering on fellow runners, discovering new places, and spending time with her Shiba Inu, Stella.

Princess Lim earned her bachelor's degree in health services administration from Minnesota State University Moorhead and has worked in clinical research for more than six years. Her experience includes both Phase I and late-phase clinical trials.
Princess enjoys collaborating with her teammates and finds it especially rewarding to see participants experience improvements throughout the course of a clinical trial. She is passionate about helping bring new treatment options to patients through research.
Outside of work, Princess enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time at the lake with family and friends.

Renee Bryan earned her nursing degree from Arkansas Northeastern College and has spent more than 12 years as a dermatology biologic nurse before joining the clinical research field.
She is passionate about making every patient feel like family rather than simply another appointment on the schedule. Her years of dermatology experience allow her to provide knowledgeable, compassionate guidance to participants throughout their research journey.
Outside of work, Renee enjoys traveling to beaches and parks with her children and grandchildren and volunteers as a coach for their softball, baseball, and basketball teams.
